Smoothies
I absolutely love smoothies, especially thick ones. There are so many different creations you can make but here is my recipe for a strawberry and banana smoothie.
for 3-4 smothies
- 250 g strawberries, hulled (green tops cut off)
- 1 medium banana, peeled and roughly chopped
- 300 ml of milk
- 150 ml natural yoghurt
- 15 ml spoon clear honey
- Place all the above ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Adjust the sweetness according to taste and pour into serving glasses.
Milkshakes are amazing, especially if your in the mood for something creamy and has a bit more calories. Here is the recipe I use for chocolate milkshake (if you want you can replace the chocolate with strawberries and vanilla essence)
For 1 milskhake
- 3 scoops chocolate ice cream
- a couple of teaspoons of chocolate powder
- 1/2 pint of milk
- Put all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and chocolate chips
